Eligibility
This Contest is open to anyone who submits a response to our survey and who are 18 years of age as of the date of entry and have a valid email address. The Contest is only open to anyone living in the US (must have a US mailing address), and is void where prohibited by law. The Contest is subject to all federal, state, local, municipal laws and regulations.
Contest Period
Entries will be accepted online starting on May 25, 2021 at 9:00 AM EST - June 9, 11:59 PM PST. Entries that are submitted before or after the Contest Period will be disqualified.
Entry rules
The Contest must be entered by completing all required fields on our survey at: www.genxthisiswhy.com/survey. Any attempt of circumvention of the rules will result in immediate disqualification from the Contest.
Rights Granted by Contest Participants
The Participant understands and agrees that Gen X, This is Why and/or anyone acting on behalf of Gen X, This is Why has the right, where permitted by law, to use the participant’s first name and last initial or other name (as designated by the winner) and/or Facebook name (if the winner is in our FB Group, The Meme B’s) to announce the winner on social media and for announcement of the winner of the contest.
Disclaimer of Responsibility
Gen X, This is Why is not responsible for problems with Contest entries, including but not limited to, entries which are late, or cannot be completed due to electronic or technical difficulties.
Prizes
Winner of the Contest (hereinafter “Winner”) will receive A custom pen and ink drawing of the drama barn by Sam Barrese (our dad) - 8x10 image size / Framed 11x14. The drawing is a copyright of Sam Barrese and can not be reproduced. The prize cannot be redeemed for cash or substituted for another prize, and is non-transferable. Prize-related expenses including all federal, state, and local taxes represent the sole financial responsibility of the Winner. The prize is given with no written, express, or implied warranty. Any prize not claimed within 20 days of notification will be forfeited by the winner and remain the property of Gen X, This is Why.
Winner Selection and Notification
All qualifying entries (submitted between May 25, 2021 - June 9, 2021) will be entered into a random drawing using an online random name picker: https://miniwebtool.com/random-name-picker/ under the supervision of Gen X, This is Why. Winner will be informed about the prize via the email address provided in the survey by June 11, 2021. The winner will also be announced on our podcast, Facebook Group, Facebook Page and Instagram Account. We will ask what name the winner would like us to use when we contact the winner, if the winner is in our Meme B’s group, we will tag you (once you have been notified and respond). Gen X, This is Why is not responsible if the Winner fails to receive the notice about the prize due to any security settings or provision of incorrect contact information. If the Winner fails to respond within the required time period, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate Winner may be selected based on another random drawing of eligible survey entries. If the Winner is disqualified for any reason, Gen X, This is Why is not obliged to provide an alternate prize or extend the Contest Period in any way, and all privileges as Winner will be terminated immediately. Participants who provide false, fraudulent or deceptive entries or who engage in false, fraudulent or deceptive acts in connection with the Contest will be disqualified.
How to Claim the Prize
The Winner must have a US mailing address and provide it via email, facebook messenger, or text. The prize will be mailed via the UPS Ground within a week of receiving the Winner’s mailing address.
Terms & General Conditions
Gen X, This is Why reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest should virus, bug, non-authorized human intervention, fraud, or any other cause affect the administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the Contest. If such a case occurs, Gen X, This is Why may select the Winner from all eligible entries. Any attempt by an entrant to deliberately damage the Winner selection process and the legitimate operation of the Contest may be a violation of criminal and civil laws.
Limitation of Liability
By entering the Contest, You agree to release and hold harmless Gen X, This is Why and its subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers, and directors from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, claim, or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from:
(i) such entrant’s participation in the Contest and/or his/her acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize or any portion thereof;
(ii) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to the malfunction of any computer, cable, network, hardware, software, or other mechanical equipment;
(iii) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions, telephone, or Internet service;
(iv) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Contest;
(v) electronic or human error in the administration of the Contest or the processing of entries.
Privacy Policy
Gen X, This is Why, will not retain any users emails beyond the date that the last prize is received by the winners unless the user has opted in to receive marketing emails from Gen X, This is Why. We will never share or sell your information.
